[London Drugs] Panasonic Lumix GM1 m4/3 camera w/ 12-32 kit lens $299.99 FS (open box / display)

London Drugs has open box / display Panasonic Lumix GM1 micro 4/3 camera with the versatile 12-32mm kit lens for only $299.99, free shipping over $75. I don’t know what condition these open box/display models are like but assume you can return if it’s not to your liking. 10 in stock as of this posting.

This is one of the - if not the - smallest interchangeable lens cameras ever made. It uses the m4/3 platform which means you can attach any and all m4/3 lenses - some of which would look ridiculous on this tiny body - and the image quality is right up there with any other m4/3 cameras. The main draw of this camera is its incredibly small size which means travel is a breeze. It is nearly pocketable!

Cons - this is an old camera released in 2013. Most manual controls are done through the 3” touchscreen. That touchscreen is also the only viewfinder. There is no hot shoe for a flash though there’s a built-in pop-up flash if you need it.

The 12-32mm kit lens is actually pretty useful range for walking around. It’s not the fastest lens but it is tiny. My favourite lens (what I use 75% of the time) is the 20mm f1.7. Still almost pocketable with the 20mm attached.

The price is fine if it was new but $300 seems a bit over priced for a (slightly) used almost 7 year old camera.

Scoping out Ebay prices: body only going for ~$400, with kit lens going for ~$450. This deal is $300+HST with a return policy. Not even sure you can find the lens on its own for $300. This is obviously a niche product but the value here is high. 3 left in stock...

Looks like you can get the package cheaper on ebay if you're patient. But if you're iffy about ebay this seems decent.
Can you spare some cutter, me brother?

I have a GM5 which is similar except for an EVF, great little camera. Much larger models have in-body stabilization but not a factor if you use Panasonic lenses with OIS
