Hot price for sure. I have 65" version of this. Overall I like it but just know with the curved TV you get different light glare

Picked one up, it was the last unopened box they had in-stock. Going to replace my older Samsung UN50ES6820 that I will put in the bedroom and this new one in my great room.

Out of curiosity; would this work as a computer monitor? I know it's huge but at the right distance... or would the curve mess the viewing up too?

Thanks, OP. I picked one up from New Westminster location. It was an open box, but it was alright. :)

If only this wasnt curved...

Very hot deal, since boxing day 50” mu6300 was 589.99 i think so this is cheaper for curved version (which generally cost $100 more).

This is more suitable as a computer monitor than a TV. Curved screen makes no sense for a TV, and 4K on something this small also makes no sense for a TV. You'd be better off with a cheap 50" 1080p. Both those attributes are good for a computer monitor which you sit much closer to, though. 49" is a huge monitor, but as somebody who uses 2x27" the added real estate is nice. Personally I prefer two separate screens since it's easier to split up stuff I'm working on that way (spreadsheet on one, plus browser window, youtube video, etc), but it can be done with software too.

4K and curved work just fine on this, in my opinion.

Depends how far away your are sitting anyway.

This is the second curved Samsung we’ve got and for this one, the 4K is impressive for the price.

These were over $1000 in June (2017 model) and are still $750-$900 in most stores.

In my case I was looking for a $500+tax bedroom TV and this certainly fits the bill and more!

Thanks OP will give this a try as a monitor. Was going to try the Philips 43" in another thread - but found too many complaints about ghosting and image retention. The review below ranks it quite high as a PC monitor - second only to the Sony XBR720.

This is basically half off now. Windows 10 supports the snap in work spaces by dragging windows to the respective corners of the screen so its a nice way to partition the screen - or you can use software like display fusion.

I actually returned 50mu6300 from Costco and purchased this 49" curved version; basically, I saved $100 and got a curved version with 1" smaller screen. It actually works better for me to rotate the screen on my limited TV stand space. Other than that, it has same Samsung Smart TV UI (same series 6, same remote, etc). The image quality on 49mu6500 seems a bit better than 50mu6300.
