[Long & McQuade] Long & McQuade Attic Sale 2021, Sep 17-19

Haven't seen this so perhaps this would be useful for someone.

https://www.long-mcquade.com/AtticSale2021

Similar to last year, but it seems like this year they allow us to check for items, prices, conditions etc ahead.

This year, they said ALL stores across the country will participate so keep an eye out and check your nearest store.

I'm in Ontario so some items that caught my attention are the Taylor 114ce in Scarborough priced from 1099 down to 549, also another Taylor 114ce and Seagull S6 at Toronto Bloor.

Lastly, I don't work for Long & McQuade, neither do I have any affiliation with them. They are simply conveniently located to me, they offer a free set up for guitars bought at their stores, regardless used or new and their custserv are ok enough.

Have fun checking around and hope you'll get what you like.

What time does the sale normally start online?

Last year, it didn't have any particular order, some started at 10am, some at 2pm IIRC, also varied by locations

I don't have much idea about this year yet

These sales can definitely have some great deals if you're looking for something. I bought a used, but like-new Taylor 414CE for $1599, when regular price was over $3K. You definitely have to be thorough though in your searching, as the same item can be different prices at different locations, though if used, condition could vary.

Yes, at least at my nearby stores in Ontario

As items vary between stores, you may need to check a few nearby stores around your place to find that

Sale is per store.
In general I love my Beyerdynamic DT880 but would also go Sennheiser HD 600/650.

Not sure where you live, I assume it's the GTA then.

I don't know much about pianos though.

Just searched (manually) and found DGX650 in St. Catharines and DGX660 in Toronto Bloor, haven't found 670 though.

i wonder if its worth calling around to stores to see if they'll ship the item.

i recently picked up a used guitar and called the store to ask about shipping.

it came Purolator for about 1/3 the quoted cost using their website.

Damn, how much do you think if would cost. I just ordered same one from my son’s music teacher. $1099
I just saw stock for demo model DGX660 at $699. I wonder if there is any difference or if I can get a discount for 680, as it is still being shipped to me.

Anyone know what kind of shape their used items are usually in, or does it vary a lot? Looking at pianos

DGX670 (release in Jan.2021), is the successor of DGX660, lots of upgrades, more an arranger than an piano in terms of features.
some people prefer the DGX660 sound sampled from CFIIIS Concert Grand, while DGX670 has CFX sound samples.

I love the sound of the 670. I play it all the time while waiting for my son's lessons. I'm no expert but adding layers makes the sound even better. The used one in my local store was selling it for 1099 plus tax and stand was extra. Still pretty steep imo. If the price was at around the $8xx number, it's a winner.

I've been wanting a Seagull acoustic-electric cutaway/folk for a long time. Too bad the choices are limited. Maybe next time
