Looking for a 34" ultrawide 3440x1440 IPS monitor

Never used ultrawide monitor before, and I am looking for one just for general use (internet, word, excel, pdf reading, coding). Also considered 29" ultrawide but felt that not big enough to feel like a big upgrade. So I am thinking of 34" with 3440x1440 resolution. I do not really know if I should get a curved or flat one, but people seem to say that a flat one might be okay if it is IPS?

I saw another RFD member mentioned this pre-release on Amazon.ca for LG 34WN750-B for $650. Do you guys think this could be a good product and at a good price? Is it a big issue that LG only has 1 year warranty?

Thanks a lot!

I'd recommend staying away from the curved ultrawide panels, for productivity they are annoying because there is some glare and distortion along the panel depending on where you sit and which way you look.

For general use that panel seems good, though I would wait for reviews before buying it.

I'll be posting a 38" for sale shortly. Check the BST for details. The panel is antiglare which addresses the productivity concerns mentioned above. There is no distortion.

I have the HP Omen X 35, and while is its great for gaming, it is less than optimal for productivity if you need to magnify like I do. If you have perfect vision, give it a try, but I still recommend you go to a store to audition one first.
