Looking for advice on drones

I'm interested in buying a drone but have no idea as to which brands are good or not. Was hoping to get some insight from anyone here who's used them or had experience with them. My main priority is something that records 1080p and that at can last 10+ minutes.

Practically any drone you buy will require a license in Canada. Get caught without one while flying can be costly....just so you know. From spec perspective, All of DJI drone are quality drones that do 1080 and have runtimes of at least 10 minutes.

The DJI Mavic Mini falls under Transport Canada’s Micro Drone category and does not require a license as it is 1 gram under the 250 gram weight.

However, there are regulations you still have to follow:
  • below 122 metres (400 feet) in the air
  • away from bystanders, at a minimum horizontal distance of 30 metres for basic operations
  • away from emergency operations and advertised events
  • Avoid forest fires, outdoor concerts and parades
  • away from airports and heliports
  • 5.6 kilometres (3 nautical miles) from airports
  • 1.9 kilometres (1 nautical mile) from heliports
  • Don’t fly anywhere near airplanes, helicopters and other drones

All my drones are from cheaper Chinese manufacturers, so the batteries last about 9.5 minutes. For 10+ minutes you'll probably want a DJI or similar, something more brand name in any case.
c'mon get happy!

Thanks for all the info guys, much appreciated. Sounds like DJI is the brand I'll keep an eye out for.
