Looking for dash cam or security cam footage (Woodbine and Betty Roman Blvd)

Looking for dash cam or security cam footage. Location is Woodbine and Betty Roman Blvd. I am looking to purchase collision footage. Date is March 13, 2020 at approx 5:55 to 6:05 PM. If you have footage then please message me. The person who ran the red light is getting away with insurance fraud. The police officer told me I can try to ask on here if anyone have footage for the accident. Thanks

Sorry to hear OP.

Kind of disheartening to hear that the police is basically asking you, the victim, to do the investigation. I had a thread up a few months back, asking RFDers what percentage of drivers in Ontario drive without insurance. We didn't get a consensus. Stay safe out there.

Also, I'm not sure if having a dashcam will help with any police investigation. it might help with your own insurer (they will believe you), but I doubt the police could be bothered, even with video footage.

They told me they are not able to help me. I even contacted the city for traffic footage but they said they don't have it. This is pretty much a suggestion they can think of. I mean it's a long shot but I will try my best.

Yeah the police and the insurance company will not investigate further if there is no proof. They both told me this is my responsibility to look for evidence. It's a very devastating experience. However in the future I will definitely have a dash cam in place.

My dash cam broke 1 month prior to this. It slipped my mind due to busy work schedule so this is even worse when it comes to timing.

Too bad its almost a month ago. Any dashcam or security footage would probably have been erased or written over already.

Did no one on scene witness this? No other commuters? It was just you and that other car?

I know it's a long shot but I guess I will try me best right. I already contacted the city and the police. I am posting on here as well just to do the best that I can. If it's not enough then there is nothing more I can do.

Can you tell us what the person who ran the red light is getting away with? You're not happy to just tell your side of the story and let insurance deal with it?

The person who ran the red light provided fake info to the insurance company and even provided a fake witness. The insurance company cannot get a hold of that witness of his (Of course). So they have no choice but to put me at fault as well.

So why not file a hit and run?
That should get you out of being at fault and can claim under comprehensive subjected to a deductible.

Isn't there a police report with the persons proper name on it or was one not filed?

It cannot be deemed a hit and run because he stayed at the scene as well. I provided all the info but because there is no video footage or witness then I have to be held partially responsible as well. Which ruined my driving history. He then claimed he has a witness (Which was BS because no one stopped to offer to be a witness). I even told the insurance company that the police officer confirmed with me that no witness was disclosed in that person's report. However they cannot reverse the decision unless there is proof. It's just a devastating experience because I am definitely on my own on this one. Insurance and the police couldn't care less on who was at fault because they just want to finish their job. The insurance company didn't even look into the case more even when there are so many holes in that person's report.

Police report was filed right away. However that person also filed a police report and came up with a fake witness later on. I did rethink about the whole situation. There was literally nothing more that I could have done. Either I have to have footage or somebody had to have stopped and offer to be my witness. In my case unfortunately there was neither. I have a feeling that scumbag have been doing that more than once. He clearly planned the whole thing.

Next time use your cellphone to record the scene of the accident, witnesses, damages.....etc.

It's being deemed 50/50?
How about small claims?
