Looking to go somewhere in August

Hey guys,

I have a week off work during the first week of August and I need some ideas/deals on some place cheap. My budget is under $1000.

It's too early to look for last minute vacation packages to the Caribbean. Cruises are expensive as hell since this is peak season.

Any ideas/suggestions?
Whatchu know about ice cream?

Go up to Huntsville...camping in Algonquin...do some kayaking, canoeing, hiking...August is great up there, way less bugs.

Where are you? Going by yourself, or with others? Would you like to drive, say to Algonquin, to Quebec, to Halifax? Like camping, or fly to AI resorts?

For people to help you, you can start with some of those basic info.

Have similar situation in Sept but with my wife. We are outdoorsy but also work very stressful jobs so relaxing would be nice. Budget around a grand.

Early Aug. is expensive for the OP. For you, late Sept. is low season and you can get very good deals. Lots of options in AI resorts.

Brampton seems like a nice place in August.
