Looking for help/advice finding a gaming PC

Im a long time console gamer that is finally looking to make the switch over to PC. I mainly play Warzone and Im beyond tired of all the issues that game has on console so its finally time. Unfortunately I'm pretty uneducated when it comes to PCs so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Warzone will be the primary use for the PC. My budget is pretty open but I also dont need to go crazy, as Im really just looking for something that will give me a consistent 120+ fps on 1440p. Looking for suggestions on what would be the best bang for my buck. Also not in any hurry to make a purchase so Im more than open to waiting if any deals will be popping up. Thanks so much in advance for any help or insight you can provide me with!

Simply with the requirement of 120+fps on 1440p you'll need to go at least RTX 3070 or RX6700, maybe even higher like a RTX 3080 if you want consistent 120+Fps. So you're looking at likely a $2000+ build. More if you don't have a monitor.

unfortunately you've chosen that absolute worst time in history to make the switch due to lack of GPU stock and out of control pricing. You might be able to find a prebuild on sale with a 3060-70 that might meet your needs but in this current market the XSX or PS5 offer far better bang for the buck in modern games.

Ya I know the timing is rough, but it doesn’t seem like prices are going to get better anytime soon so I probably just have to bite the bullet. I enjoy my Xbox series X but really disappointed by the lack of 120fps games. Especially the game I primarily play being hard stuck on 60 or lower. Found some decent prebuilds with 3060/3070s like you mentioned, just need to wait for a good sale to ease some of the pain I guess.

Stock is not nearly as bad for video cards nowadays.

All parts in stock.

Edit - if you really want to go all the way you can use this for video card, would be the cheapest 6900XT you can find unless you beat the bots on AMD.com.

A quick search for benchmarks shows that a Geforce 3070 will average 120 fps in 1440p ultra settings in COD Warzone. A Geforce 3080 will average 150 fps. Either CPU paired with any AMD 3xxx or higher or any Intel 10th gen or higher will be fine. You might as well treat yourself to a new 144hz or 165hz monitor as well.

It's a bit silly that PC gamers think GPU prices will decrease. Prices for everything else both tech and non-tech (e.g., groceries, food, personal care toiletries, gas, construction materials, furniture, travel, insurance) increased a year ago already and have no signs of returning to old prices. You don't have to like higher prices but this is the reality now.
