Looking for a new laptop before January

I've got my eye on the Dell XPS 15 with the following specs:

Is this a good choice? Is there anything comparable? I love the display and small form factor for a 15" laptop. I'll mainly need it for school doing online courses, research, and word processing. Would also like to be able to use it for some lighter indy style games from Steam.

Anybody own this one that can weigh in on quality or other recommendations? Thanks in advance!
