Looking for a new plan

I'm getting a new iphone 6 plus soon that is locked with telus. I am looking for a new plan that has atleast 3gbs of data (minutes don't matter too much to me). Is it possible to get a plan for around $50/m? I will probably be unlocking the iphone anyways. If anyone can help me find a plan like this, it would be much appreciated! :)

Unless you want to go for wind the $45 plan offers 5GB full speed and then reduced speed afterwards. However their reception will depend on where you live. You can try it out and if you don't like it you can get out of the plan free of charge. Also you get $150 in credits when you bring your own phone. The other plan that comes close to what you are looking for is the government employee plan or business plan for some people. I think you can get a phone with that plan and then sell it as BNIB to negate $60 per month.

For $60/Month – Voice & Data

Unlimited local minutes/250 Long Distance minutes
3GB Data (Tetherable)
SMS/MMS Unlimited Domestic
Voicemail, Call Display, Name Display
Call Waiting & 2500 Call Forwarding
Data - $15 per GB

Same as above,

The closest to what you want is Wind Mobile.
Go for any of their plans that are $40 or more.
$40 has 3GB, $45 has 5GB and $50 has 10GB.
The're all unlimited but will be reduced speeds after.
Bringing your own unlocked iphone will has give you $150 free credits. Give it a look as it will vary depending on location.

As for other carriers, for the price you want its going to be hard to find a 3GB plan. For $50 you're looking at about 1-2GB depending on which carrier. Best BYOP plans right now I think are Fido and Koodo. So give them a look

Thanks for everyone's replies. I think I'm gonna try out wind. I have a question about unlocking though. If I go to telus to get it unlocked, will they also check if the iphone is blacklisted? I'm getting a pretty good deal for it ($530) and I'm kind of cautious now.

Let me know how it goes. I want to try out Wind as well. Currently with Rogers BYOD, all is good, just want to save some money.

BTW, say I'm not satisfied with Wind and want to go back to Rogers, how difficult would it be?

pretty sure with a BYOD plan on wind, it is as simple as porting your number and they will cancel everything for you.
