Zero value realty does this. No experience or connection with them, but it’s their exact business model.

I mean the name 'Zero Value Realty' is kinda self fulfilling, isnt it.

Most buyside realtors are zero value; this one at least recognizes and pays you for it.

i dont get the hate either.

if people really think realtors make extraordinary amounts for the effort and skill required, join the fun, hating on the sideline is a pointless waste of energy.

this whole system isn't going away anytime soon.
there will always be buyers and sellers that need hand holding.
there will always be builders that need agents to market their product.

I think you are mistaken.
no one is telling you to offer anything. you can put a sign out on your lawn, fsbo, use a flat fee realtor and put it on mls for exposure.
no one is stopping you from doing that.

Dont even get me started, the seller realtor does even less. He literally just hires a photographer and puts the pictures up on MLS.

Yes, just like there will always be fools that buy high priced mutual funds from glorified bank tellers. By the grace of god a RE Vanguard will come in and cut the huge amount of fat that exists in the RE industry. Agents are presently paid 5-10x what they should be.

No, nobody is stopping you from doing that, but the majority of real estate AGENTS (giant misnomer) are going to actively steer their clients away from your listing. It’s a parasitic and predatory industry.

Some are good, most are useless, many are bad.

Remington is paying agents 7% right now to sell their markham gallery towers.
why aren't people up in arms about what builders pay agents?
those marketing fees, add to the total cost the end user pays.

Consumers are smart these days. Look for listings that are FSBO and go direct.

Because most people are ignorant that they are being taken advantage of, just like it was for MERs and fees on fees in the mutual fund world for a long time.

So the expectation is that the client has to do the AGENT’s job to not get taken advantage of? Doesn’t sound like much of an agent.

Over the last few yrs, I feel its been much harder for buyer agents than seller agents. Buyer agents trying to win against 20 other offers isn't fun, seller agents sit back & laugh. Buyer agents also have to deal with customers disappointment about losing out multiple times (again, not easy to win when going up against 20 other offers)

@oasis100 ive learned not to even bother posting in these types of threads. You will never change their minds; nor should you even try to.
These are the same type of people who will wait 30 minutes in line to save 2 cents on gas.
Just like any profession are there good and bad ones? of course.

i just have a good laugh
