It seems like so many podiatrists and food clinics are there to just sell you orthotics as a panacea to all of your foot problems. I am more interested in a professional that will do some gait analysis, manual manipulation and give me a strengthening and mobility program to deal with some issues I have had with my feet and ankles for years. With the COVID era, I definitely won't be leaving the house much so orthotics are an even bigger waste of time and money. Does anyone have any recommendations close to the TTC? I'm in midtown Toronto.

I’d suggest consulting with a good physiotherapist instead.

This. I spoke to my physio about her views on orthotics and remember her saying that they have their use but they shouldn't be viewed at a long term solution. The underlying issues need to be addressed and orthotics don't do that.
