I don't know much about you, or what's your budget, but I'm waiting for a GTX 1080Ti to hit in January.

I'm in the same boat as you unless there is a deal on an Asus GTX 1070 Strix

I need to buy a case for my new build, should I wait until boxing week or should I just buy one now?

What prices should I be looking for in a 1070?

also looking for a video card to play newer games (mostly looking towards Mass Effect 4) at high framerates @ 1440 60Hz. I want to preferably maintain a 60+ FPS framerate. I am currently running i7-3930K + 7970, would prefer going with Nvidia this time. Looking to spend <$500

Looking for a budget card myself < 200$ (like a 4gb mini). Don't see much in terms of deals.

Is there anything special about the strix over other 1070's?

Well I can describe the Asus GTX 1070 Strix in the Following:

The three fans are super quiet.

The card stays cool even after long gaming sessions

The Leds/RGB are really nice and it looks phenomenal with any case that has a Side panel window.

The Card looks cool and built like a Tank

The Card it performs like a beast!

canada computers has the 1060 and 1070 STRIX at a discounted price. In regards to performance per dollar the 1060 takes the cake. With taxes and IR rebate it comes to $450 then you'll get your $30 rebate whenever.

Was also looking to add a $100-150 budget card to add to my basic desktop (ASUS-M32BF: A10-7800, 12GB RAM) to play basic games like NBA2K17 but don't seem to see any good deals...
