You are in a condo building and you will have a lot of interference from your neighbours. I would stay away of 5G band and Wifi 5. I would build a WiFi 6E mesh system, and use WiFi 6G as backhaul.

We're only a small 6 unit condo building. I'm experiencing issues on 5G band and 2.4G band isn't much better. I have a Wifi 5 router and wireless connectivity is cutting of constantly and I can get only 200mbps speed which is very low considering a 1G fiber connexion. Wish it was easy to build and install a faraday cage; I'd be putting one beneath my floor and ceiling.

Thanks for the advice.

Or...you can buy a WiFi 5 router that allows you to install a custom firmware (DD-WRT like) and boost the power on the radio. Stay on top Smiling Face With Sunglasses.

You could always try the eero mesh system. They sometimes go on sale on amazon. Its a very easy system to setup and forget about it.
