Looking for a Wood Chipper

I need a wood chipper. Many shrubs need trimming and I'd like to hear from people who use them and what brands and how well machines perform. I'd use them for branches about one inch thick and for shredding leaves.

jdmfishingonly Thanks! For years every time I trimmed shrubs I would have to tie them up for garbage collection. This is better in the long run.

Do you need a chipper .. or a leaf vacuum.. two different things.
What jdmfishing posted is just a leaf/blower and vacuum.. will do nothing for your shrubs... u need a chipper for that.

Just a heads up if you buy that leaf blower vacuum, you will need a mask! I was using an N95, lol. The amount of fine dust it produces is incredible, just wait 'till you empty the bag.

Wear a mask. Wear protective eyewear. Fire it up from the inside of your garage ... and blow all the dust out!

Wintertime ... use it to blow the snow off your vehicle so you are not those fools that drive around with snow blowing off your vehicle to the the one behind you.

I’ve looked in to this a few times myself as we have a large property with large trees and generate quite a bit of yard waste every month. I’ve determined that for me it is not worth the expense as opposed to just putting it to the curb. To handle 1” and not have a piece of garbage that breaks down you’re looking to spend a lot of money. I really wanted to get something but I just can’t justify the cost. All of the cheap consumer stuff just won’t hold up long at all.

EDIT: If you decide you want something only for leaves you may be okay but the 1” branches are the reason you will have to spend significant money to get something that survives.
