Loose HDMI cable connection on GPU

I have a monitor and TV connected to my PC. My GPU is a GTX 660 2GB. It has DVI, Display Port (which the monitor and TV don't have), and HDMI connections. My PC uses the HDMI port to connect my monitor and my TV uses the DVI.

The connections to the TV & Monitor are fine but the connection to the GPU via HDMI wiggles loose easily. I'm looking for a way to get a tighter connection, ie via a shim or something. I looked at a HDMI lock but it costs much more than an HDMI cable.

Looking for practical and cheap solution to this problem. Thanks in advance.

Did you pull out and look at the card itself? Maybe the metal housing can be squeezed together a tiny bit to make the cable stay in place better. Either that or find an HDMI cable which will just fit better, some brands can be a tighter fit.

^ Try this, have a look at the GPU.

If that doesn't work (not sure how much you want to spend) and checking on support on your GPU another solution could be DisplayPort PC to HDMI Display Cable TV

There you go! Try the cheapest solution first, if not get the most affordable Display Port adapter.

Some monitors and GPUs support display port. Use that instead, since that connect actually locks into the slots rather than HDMI which doesn't.

I managed to bend the metal pins in the GPU a little to tighten the connection. Its better than it was before but not perfect. No problems though so I'll consider it a success.

Thanks

I have used hot-glue in the past for such things. Comes off cleanly too

Thanks, but as I stated in the original post Display Port was not an option.
