This is all mobile though, which sucks. I'm an old man, I need a computer/desktop support.

I used to use MyFitnessPal on my last cut...But I guess it's no longer free? Been out the game for 2 years. Does this have that barcode scanner thing?

Quit getting fat on your bulk and you won't have to cut to lose weight.

The best way to do it is the Keto diet, do it for 30-60 days and you'll be a whole new person.
"Best" is subjective, but sure, let's say "best". 🤣

Oh it was a resolved medical issue. Dropped 10-14 pounds in the last 3 weeks so far. Cutting is fun! I'm not even using EC stacks/Clen.
Never stopped lifting so there's a lot of lean mass there. I'm on winter break so figured it's a good time to starve myself into oblivion without sacrificing productivity. Works wonderfully. Muscles are easy to build for me, cutting has always been tough.

Clean up your diet, get daily physical activity in and you won't need any of these apps to log your food. Sometimes the better deal is to pass on a good deal.

Save your money, MyNetDairy is free and it’s really good. Scans the barcodes to log. It really works.

Honest question: HOW?!?

I had a lot of intestinal issues, with a lot of different meds until I had to have surgeries. I find that I’m always hungry. Before getting sick I used to fast for 18-20 hours only.

I would love to fast for longer but my body shuts down hard. Do you use any supplements or something?

Oh that's a way different case. You'll have to talk to your doctor to navigate around that one.

I take straight sodium chloride and potassium chloride and green tea. During eating windows I pound down multivitamins and magnesium. I've never ventured beyond 55 hours. I don't think there's a point going beyond 72. I definitely lost 10 lbs at least, but I'm thinking I started 4 pounds higher but can't confirm. But 10 is good enough for me for that timeframe. I was taking 2.5 hour long walks for 10 km as well. That oddly helped keep hunger way since I was actively mobilizing fat.

Pls stay healthy everyone. Prolonged fasting should really only be done under the direction of a professional (if even at all).

I gotta read up on this to see if it can work for me. Since surgery I struggle with many things: fibre, chlorophyll (so any greens), carbs -- and somehow I keep putting on weight lol

What is this stretgy called, with the chloride and such. I would like to do more reading.

Well, myfitness pal is free.... I've been using it to track my calories for years with 0 cost.

There's no perfect way or app and 10 different people at the same weight will require different regiment and calories.

The best diet is one you can keep for your whole life

It's not a strategy, you need electrolytes to live. They're using in nerve conduction, and cell transport. Hydration also important. You will die within days without water. With water and electrolytes you can probably survive for 3+ weeks. But at the 1 week point, you can run into ketoacidosis risk (especially if diabetic). There are 3500 calories in a pound of fat, so I just did the math to deprive and burn as many calories as I can. This 48 hour fast is targeting around 3700 calories. A pound of fat is about a 7.8 cm^3 (cube) or a < 4" diameter sphere. I hate water, so I use green tea, but it also has caffeine and EGCG which accelerate fat loss and provide some antioxidant effect. Lipton's is 4.97 on Amazon now for 100 bags, best bang for the buck for the EGCG compound. I hate green tea btw. I've associated it with hunger and cutting lol.

Man, sounds like a Crohn's/Colitis/IBD thing going on there =/. Sorry to hear. Yeah talk to the doctor about it. There is some gut shit that goes on during fasting which could help or harm your condition. Even intermittent fasting can cause constipation.

Dr. Jason Fung is the international fasting authority. He works out in Scarborough as an MD Nephrologist, diabetes expert too. He wrote a book on this. But you'd probably need to coordinate with a gastroenterologist.

My initial plan was to do a 36-48'er to put myself in ketosis and go ketogenic, but since I'm on break, why not hit hyperdrive? Fat people can't get anorexia I say. Once school starts again I'll be hitting the weights hard and eat a high protein diet to reclaim some muscle that I sacrificed (cutting hurts grades/work performance). I usually find when I'm this fat, I lose 3-4 pounds of fat per pound of muscle.

I'm debating getting this software lol but I might just stick to Excel since I'm cheap, or revive MyFitnessPal account and hope to heck that I can use it free like I had.

Wow, that's incredible information. Yeah, I had aggressive UC. A lot of surgeries and issus since. A lot of meds that messed me up good.

When you say straight chloride and such, where do you buy it? Is there a brand I should look for? This is new to me.

Uhh check with your doc cuz electrolytes will affect large intestine activity. Especially magnesium.

Sodium chloride is table salt. I got the potassium chloride from a buddy who got it from Piping Rock. He fixed up his diabetes via fasting, off metformin. Always watch the dose. They use potassium chloride in lethal injections because it'll stop the heart's electrical activity. Electrolytes are crazy important, electricity/charge gradients causes our muscles to contract.

Dr. Jason Fung has an entire YouTube channel dedicated to this stuff. I used to use ketogenic diets to cut when I was younger, really effective, but fasting is even better. But ketogenic, you keep most of your muscle lol...I don't see deltoid spheres in the mirror as much, but that could be from water loss. Reddit also has a /r/fasting subreddit filled with a bunch of anorexics and other eating disorders...But they go into detail about electrolytes in their stickies. Muscle bros usually have body dysmorphia/big-o-rexia, not anorexia (can fat people even have anorexia?)

The way I did it was delaying first meal of the day by 30 minutes from the day before while keeping last meal constant .
So.. dinner at 6 , breakfast at 8, lunch at 1
Dinner at 6 breakfast at 8:30, lunch at 1:30,

Dinner at 6, breakfast at 6 next day!!
And if you go over 24 hours, electrolytes, salt, multivitamins.
The one Tim I went for 4 days I got terrible headache on day 4 and I stopped. Wasn’t hungry after day 2 at all.

Yep, this is the way, you progressively push longer and longer. You can't hit up 48 hours from the get-go. I had trouble doing 4 hours at first, then 8, then 16, then 24, then 36, then 48, then 55 cracked. I'm approaching 48 now, feel normal'ish. I never felt this good doing it, but at the same time, I never had a potassium salt. They're relatively hard to get in Canada. Before I would just use table salt and I could only manage 36-42. I'm debating going to 72 hours, but I don't think I'd go beyond that. Diminishing returns and major muscle loss. I shouldn't be going past 36 even, but sometimes I like to test my limits - just as long as it's not cardio.
