I wonder if Lowes is clearing out their Porter Cable stock in favour of the newly rebranded Craftsman line.

Great deal. Where do you see the extra battery offer?
Nvm, saw just above the drill offer .

Yes I believe this is exactly happening - to our benefit I might add. Thinking the new craftsman name may be rebranded porter stuff. I just a couple of new batteries couple weeks back for $30 each. Great price.

Yes they are. Started a few weeks ago. There is/was another thread with P-C corded tools.

I bought a biscuit joiner for 70% off two weeks ago.

$99 is a good deal for a kit like this, if you're not already invested in some other brand. Reviews are ok.

Brampton, ON
It shows $199.00 at Brampton - North. Is the deal dead?

edit: Just saw that it starts tomorrow.

I think PC is made by the same company that makes B&D, as that drill, battery, and charger looks exactly like my B&D model minus the colour and logo.
Seems like a good deal for the average Joe as I've been using the B&D for 3 years now for occasional home use and haven't had any issues.
For the more pros, these products probably wouldn't suffice.
Will think about grabbing one just for the extra batteries and the impact wrench, and perhaps sell my B&D one for cheap.

If you are ever curious about who owns who and how the lines of tools work out, there is a channel "Red Beard and the Den of Tools" that does a pretty good job. Here's a link to a part of one of his videos where he shows where who owns what. He does have some other interesting videos showing the history of these companies as well. Hope you enjoy it. I did.

I priced matched this at Lowe’s when renodepot was clearing them out.
Got the set for $67, extra battery for $26 & 18 gauge cordless nailer for $112.

so how does this brand compare to Rigid?
In my 4yrs ish of using this set, it handled everything I throw at it normal work around the house kinda things. Still using the original batteries and they hold charge when sitting in the car for weeks during winter. Each battery can drive over 200 deck screws.
