[Lowe's] Ariens Snowblowers 15% off (24”, 28” and 30” Deluxe Models)

Ariens Snowblowers on clearance at Lowes in Pickering (didn’t all other stores and I see the links on lowes.ca are gone). All models on the floor were ~15% off. Ariens blowers never go on sale and so ~15% I’d say is a win.

Deluxe 24” - $1799 from $2099
Deluxe 28” - $2299 from $2649
Deluxe 30” - $2499 from $2949
All these models have auto turn (a must have feature in my mind) and the 30” has other add-one like heated grips etc.

These are high end blowers and you are paying premium but if you take good care of them, they will last 20 years and the investment will be worth it! Many owners including myself swear by them!

Last nights 8-10” of heavy wet snow plus the pile up at the end of the driveway was a breeze for my 24” deluxe.

For those without autoturn, what works for you? I have that pin on the hub that disengages one wheel manually, but it's a pain going through deep snow.

I sold my Compact 24” for the sole purpose that it didn’t have auto turn. For how big these are, without auto turn, it’s a huge hassle to turn them and I’ve even done it manually in the past so I didn’t have to deal with it. The latest Deluxe models, all include auto turn. Ariens also sells the LED light and the handle warmers separately as addons.

YMMV as it's store specific. I spotted a 30" Deluxe EFI earlier this week for $1999, and the non EFI model for $1749. Almost made me decide to sell my 15yr old 24" until I realized I could not get the 30" model through the backyard gate.

I would only buy an Ariens blower - my current one has been rock solid for 15yrs

Also same price at Rona if you find them there.

Saw a Deluxe 30" at my local Rona on sale for $2499

I've always wanted an Ariens 24" 2-stage SB. But I don't have the space in my garage to store it.
The single stage Ariens looks good. I would've bought this if I didn't already have a Toro SB.

I’m rocking an Ariens 722 which is probably 20 years old. Starts on the second pull and is a beast. Best single stage ever.

If you cannot afford a Honda, get an Ariens.

Great brand. Bought my snowblower nearly 20 years ago and still runs great.

I have an Ariens 20" 2 stage for the last 15 years, still working perfectly except some rust. It's really a work horse and super reliable. It's unfortunately they don't produce 20" 2 stage anymore. 24" is too big to put in my garage as I park my cars inside.

Honda engine is top of the charts, but the snow blower functionality and ease of use is not as good as Ariens.

If you can't find a good Ariens, settle for a Honda.

The s18 is Ariens baby machine 18” 5 HP. It competes against the Toro 518, Toro’s smallest machine

The regular single stage machine would be the Ariens Professional 21 which competes against the Toro 721RC commercial

I bought the 24" inch a couple years back. I easily go through the snow plows leftovers.

Little bit big - but damn is it good.

Bought the 28 Deluxe in October 2020. Great quality, solid machine so far, no complaints yet!
Surprised at the price jump in 2 years;
I think I paid 1650 at lowes online and that included free delivery.

Forget the Honda, other options are cheaper and last just as long.

Lowe’s Waterloo has Ariens single stage blower for $629, it looks similar to Toro power clear 718.

I picked up an Ego there

I've had the 28 Deluxe for at least 10 years. The salesman where i bought it showed me how it was heavy-duty built in all areas that matter. No plastic on the important areas. Auto turn is a great feature. Thoughtful control layout. Easy to start, runs well and has an attitude- give me more snow to eat! The harder you work it, the better it performs. Great machine; would not hesitate to buy another.

The ariens sold at the big box stores are not the same as those sold at ariens dealerships.

Similar to lawn tractors, almost every single one at home depot, Roma, Lowell's and Canadian tire are all china made MTD machines, even the John deers.
I aim to be inclusive and considerate of others in my posts. If I fall short of that mark, feel free to let me know in good faith, and where appropriate, I'll edit my posts.

Not too sure about that. Ariens second brand was Sno-Tek but I don't think they sell them anymore. Had one years ago and it was great. I don't think manufacturers have the same luxury these days of building a second model series for the Lowe's of the world

This isn’t true, and I’m not sure how this lie has gotten so popular. It used to be true with some models of John Deere tractors but they changed that a long time ago, I even confirmed this at a JD dealer this summer. As for Ariens, the only difference you’ll find is that dealers will deliver your machine fully assembled and obviously the warranty service will be much better. Ariens ships their blowers 90% assembled to both dealers and box stores alike, so there is even less of a difference there.
