[Lowe's] Brondell S1400 Swash Toilet Bidet - $513 (34% off)

This is the premium model by Brondel, comparable to the Toto s550e ($1,800+) and https://www.bidetsplus.com/toto-s550e-w ... wash-1400/

I went with the S1400 because of price, better warranty, stainless steel nozzles, and the fact that you can sit on the toilet seat when it's closed without breaking it.

Lowe's original price: $777.00 here: https://www.lowes.ca/product/toilet-sea ... -330006117
Pricematch to Wayfair at $569.99 here: https://www.wayfair.ca/Brondell--Swash- ... L1085.html

Lowe's will beat it by 10%, making the final price $513.00 + tax.

I bought three. Then I realized I needed to get GFCI outlets installed by each toilet, which cost $1,500 because of the complexity, and then have all the drywall patched and painted $1,500. Sigh.

Plan ahead before buying!

I have 2 Brondell SimpleSpa Thinline Dual Nozzle Bidet @ 40$ from Costco. They work perfectly.

How about cheaper alternatives like this? Review seems good but not sure about durability.

Significantly different feature set than the S1400 - take a look at the bidetplus.com link to see the full list of features.

I’d buy this but I don’t like how it makes my comfortable elongated seat smaller and less comfortable. Every toilet seat lid should be sittable like this model; the lower models cave in if you try. Not sure if something else tops this for comfort and lower profile design?

Costco has the Swash CL1700 for $380.

We bought two Swash SE600 back in February when they were $360 each. They worked great for a while but both started leaking not long ago and one stopped working last week. Will be taking them both back to Costco for refund.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Brondell as a brand but a simple YouTube search and you will find the leak is a comment problem for some models.

I went back to the non-electrical Luxe Bidet for the time being but I do miss the heated seat.

When would you ever need to sit on the toilet seat lid? I can't see that being something I'd ever need to do not can I ever recall doing so.

I bought the Toto A200 in store recently for full price $460 and would like to save some money by purchasing this Brondell unit but if others have had issues with leaks, maybe the premium is worth it, even without the dryer function that the wife is requesting.

The blower function is always weak on these bidet, even the Brondell. Don't expect blow dryer kind of power. I'd stick with the Toto for a piece of mind.

I bought this from the 400 deal posted last year and I love it, but the CL1700 actually seems to have more features and if it does leak you just return it to Costco.

I installed this model about a year ago and find it to be very good.

For those worried about leaks, I've never experienced that with multiple seats

Mine just recently started acting up after a year or so. Both nozzles where coming down no matter what you selected and the pressure suffered for it. When I uninstalled it to see that was going on, I could already see rust starting on the thin metal pipe feed to the nozzles.

Went straight into the trash once I saw that....
