Been watching for good sales on this stuff, grabbed a couple bags for myself. Thanks!

I picked up an 18KG bag of Alaskan for 10.99 at CT over the weekend, and it wasn't a sale price or anything. It looks like the same price at Lowes. Not sure this is that great of a deal compared to when it comes on sale.

Looks like it's actually a special, as posted in the flyer. I think they forgot to specify the discount.

one of the reviews states it does not have a good shelf life and this stuff hardened into one piece after a year, anyone else experience that

Only if you get moisture in it.

I keep mine indoors with no issues of hardening.

Looks like the $10.99/18kg stuff is only effective to -15C while the product in the OP is the Premium, good to -31C.

As Bunyak says, OOS in Ottawa, but thanks anyway OP.

just went to CT and pricematched 2 bags, received $2.00 bonus CT money on my card for the pricematch ( my nearest lowes is 20 km away )
I did see the 18 KG bag for 10.99 as well, but as others have already posted its only good to -15

4.99 each is a great deal
