[Lowe's] Chamberlain 3/4 hp belt garage door opener (price match at HD for $243)

This is a great model, uses a quiet DC motor and belt drive.
Wifi built in and comes with two remotes, keypad and safety sensors.

Currently $100 off at Lowes but not on sale at Home Depot.
Price match at Home Depot for an additional 10% ($26) off.

I paid $243 after price beat (at home depot)

Homedepot has The 970C model is 299$. Its more powerful and with a battery backup. You might want to PM at lowes if this is your thing.

Lowes at 409-PM(299:11$)=288$.

Home Depot shows Out of Stock for the B970C though and Lowe’s won’t price match an Out of Stock item

Hmm looks like this has been cheaper in the past, but don't have a time machine.

Could do the price match and then wait and see if something goes cheaper for black friday again

I was thinking the same, however, there's not much benefit using this, unless you have low ceiling. Plus its more expensive.
Residential home has door rolling inward, you can't benefit anyways to add extra shelving if you had the regular type.

Decided to go ahead and order. Using on a single garage door. As long as it's quiet I'm happy.

I need 2 and there was a $45 off coupon at Lowes and free ship, so I just did it that way. Home Depot was being a pain in my ass to PM and I imagine if it is any cheaper on BF it won't be by much.

What's the usual price to get them installed/replaced in GTA?
I definitely don’t need one, so I’ll do the right thing and pick one up on my way home. 😎

Asked a staff. He was very nice to recommend B970C to me and he did the price beat. So $270 all in for B970. (I was too shy to present the $10 coupon as he did the price beat on his computer and asked me to pay there)
That's good - I actually think I could have gotten away with one of those too if I had picked that one up. The associate didn't check the model # in question, only the Lowes price briefly on my phone after scanning the item. It's still more than I really need with a single garage door anyway.

I have been using this for years. Very quiet. Google home integration is skin deep, you'd need to setup routines for closing and status. Assistant can close the garage door, but always refuses to open.

If you don't have a door entry into the garage, don't rely on that battery backup because if you have a power outage and the battery is dead, you can't get your car out of the garage. Added to that the battery needs replacing periodically which a lot of ppl don't want to pay for.

If you don't have a battery backup and you don't have a door into your garage, you definitely need a manual cable release.

Buy a manual cable release ppl.
