[Lowe's] Clearance - $99.5 Kobalt 24V Brushless max-Volt Lithium ion Cordless Combo Kit(Drill / Impact Driver)

Looks like Lowes is clearing out this Combo kit.

Kit includes: drill/driver, impact driver, 1.5-Ah battery, 45-watt charger, 2 belt clips with screws, 2 bit holders with screws, and S2 drill bit.

Would be nice if they include 2 batteries but consider it's a brushless motor and 24V, not a bad price.
Will be a good option for homeowners who don't need hammer function.

Lots in stocks. StockTrack: https://stocktrack.ca/?s=lws&prod=5637233380

Edit: get additional $10 off for email sign up would bring it down to $89.5.

If any pros here can shed some light on quality of this product as compared to Ridgid , Ryobi , Milwaukee that would be great.

Milwaukee, Dewalt, Rigid, Ryobi, then Kobalt in that order.
If you're looking for low cost DIY usage, then I'd say go for Ryobi as they're good tools and have a great ecosystem. Only go for Kobalt if you want to get in heir ecosystem, which isn't as good as Ryobi.
I have mostly Ryobi, with Milwaukee M12 tools that I use the most and one Dewalt impact driver for serious screwing.
But if you're bad with maintaining batteries, go with Rigid for the lifetime warranty.

Based on what did you rate kobalt behind ryobi? From almost all reviews I've seen their tools are pretty close to Milwaukee and Dewalt. The new 24v line trumps almost everything except for m18 fuel.

The only drawback I see is that kobalt line of power tools is really limited in Canada. There's almost nothing available to build your own ecosystem, but for $100 you can't find anything even close in quality .

Where does Bosch fit in here? I just picked up a kit and am not sure whether to return or not…

Milwaukee is by far the best.

With every thing else, Ridgid comes in nearly at the top with their LSA. Really, if you're just a home DIYer, get Ridgid and forget about it. Lifetime warranty basically through Home Depot.
