This looks like a great deal OP. Can anyone comment on how this compares to the Home Depot Bosch 2.5amp deal that's $20 more expensive? I'm pretty new to buying woodworking tools so any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I wouldn't waste my time with this one. Get the Bosch for 20$ more. No variable speed.
I got this SKIL 5" from Home Hardware for $59.99 but only available in-store at some locations so availability is YMMV.
It has variable speed up to 13000 opm, counterweight balance (like Dewalt ones) for low vibration and hard plastic dust catcher instead of cloth spring bag:
I ordered a Garden Hose from their site on May 18 ... it's May 30 right now and still NO WORD for my shipment.
I did get in touch with Lowes via FB Messenger and this was their response on May 25:
