[Lowe's] Craftsman Laser Level - $39.99

Picked this up, and while it's not as fancy as most, it works fine for what I need around the house and costs 4 f&cktons less than the others I was looking at.

Also saw this for $15 in case anyone really wants to go full RFD: https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/360-Laser- ... 059XU5RU7T

Do you have a picture of what it looks like? All I can find is the gigantic Image Coming Soon on Lowe's.

EDIT: Never mind, it appears to be identical to https://www.rona.ca/en/craftsman-red-cr ... 9-00276625.

Reviews don't look good , lots of people saying it doesn't self level which is the whole point of these levels.

Huh. I've got it and it does self-level.

I think the constraint is that it'll only level on a pure horizontal, so you have to use the magnetic mount and a ladder or frame to put it on, at the height that you want the line to be projected on.

But if you don't use them often and are comfortable working around that, I don't see why it wouldn't be perfectly acceptable.

Disclaimer: I haven't used any others, so it's possible I'm missing something....
