You can get the 2 pack for $159 though and the regular price for this is $99 on Amazon... am I missing something here?

Your first point is correct. 2 pack is $159 regular and can go down on sales events.

But 99 is not the regular price at amazon. They reduce the price to match with any retailer on the day the sale start and jack up the price once the sale end or OOS at the retailer. Even if amazon don’t have stock, they accept orders at lower price for a later delivery. All they want to do is flush out competition!
