[Lowe's] Dewalt mitre saw DWs779 $359 (after PM with Rona)

It is $499 at Lowes and PM with RONA and you get $359 plus tax. Plus if you have Lowes credit card, equal pay for 6 months with no interest no fee.

I bought this for $399 at HD a few months ago. Solid saw! Highly recommend it.

It’s $399 at Rona and Amazon right now.

With a 10% price match it’s a solid deal for $359 at HD. Only thing the saw doesn’t have compared to this years 780 model is the shadow cut line feature

I got this at a similar price (around $350) a while back and just bought the DeWalt shadow light parts from my local DeWalt store and popped them in - was super easy.

Have a non-sliding miter, there were few projects where I wish I had the sliding version, so decided to pulled the trigger and get this one. Got it price matched from homedepot at 359 + tax.

FYI, Homedepot doesn't do 10% off from Amazon, but they will give you the 10% if you show them Rona's sale price at 399.

How much was the shadow light upgrade kit? And how hard was it to install it? Going to look for an upgrade kit as well.

I think I paid something like $125 all in but can't remember exactly. It was very, very easy. Google "dewalt 779 upgrade" and the first video should walk you through everything.

There's an extra 5% off this weekend in checkout bringing it down to $379 at rona, wonder if we can do the price match off that for additional savings? Talking to HD online chat now. Might have to go I to store to wing it.

I got this same deal and combined it with airmiles shop the block for a few extra airmiles. Very good saw, even better with the parts to turn it into the dws780. I didn’t think I needed the shadow line from the dws780 but it turned out to be very worthwhile

Okay awesome, home depot matched Rona's extra 5% off this weekend so total is 399-5%379-10%hd beat = $341.31 plus tax! Just ordered via HD online chat. Just be sure to tell them to checkout on rona site to see final price of 379

Thanks OP, this is a good deal.
BUT remember that when you add the xps lighting system on, you lose the 3-year warranty.

I almost pulled the trigger until i saw the weight. 68lbs assembled. I'll probably never take it out of storage because it's too heavy to lug around. Ended up getting a jigsaw using the 5% discount promo price match instead.
