[Lowe's] Honeywell White Smart Wi-Fi Thermostat - 50% OFF (Now $84.50, Reg: $169.00)

Image

Found a really good deal on a Honeywell Smart Thermostat, on sale for $84.50, Regular prices is $169.00.

I know a few people that have this model, and have heard nothing but good things from it. Once you install it, you can control it remotely via the smartphone app for Apple or Android, or you can control it with your Google or Alexa smart speaker.

for $84.50 it does pretty close to what a Nest or EcoBee or Lyric can do, but way more affordable for those who are on a budget.

Edit: The price is ongoing until inventory is depleted.

Just giving another shout, this is super easy to install, even if you have an older home with 4 conductor wire and cant change it they make a 4 to 5 wire adaptor so you can install it without changing your wires

This is a fantastic unit. I have had it for 6 years now without issues. Simple and easy to program. You can control the temps from anywhere. I have it integrated with Google home.

Will it support a central A/C Unit and Electric baseboard heaters?

EcoBee and Nest don't.

What? Is this sarcasm? They both support A/C. As long as your system is 24V they support it. I'm not familiar with baseboard heaters so I can't comment.

I'd recommend investing in an ecobee lite instead of this. Make it feel like your part of the 21st century. Also a Canadian company.

No it does not. but here's more info on it: the adaptor is called Honeywell THP9045A1023 Wiring Module, I've seen it as cheap as $12.29 online (ebay) but on average it goes for around $22-24.99 at many retailers. great deal.

What can the ecobee lite do that this one cant? the ecobee lite goes for well over 2 bills, I checked the specs it looks like this one can do nearly all the same things, with a much lower price tag vs ecobee, while still having remote app access and google / alexa access, what more do u want for the 21st century?

The reason for this post is to let people know of a great deal that exists. Maybe they cant afford the more expensive units on the market and are looking to get smart technology but not break the bank and still have nearly the same functionality.

Can you set multiple program with it? I'm looking for one where I can set 2-3 program depending on if I'm working home or not.

Thanks

These are decent thermostats. Got my parents one about 8 years ago, works good. App is decent. Would recommend. Can’t say my (then $270) nest to much better (now $330?). The nest lets a guy schedule the fan to run… that’s about it for the extra price. And I guess it’s a little nicer looking.

Are these common displays? Like is Honeywell the original and others have knocked it off. I have one that looks like this and I didn't like the touch mechanism.

I put one of these in at my old house. I was always happy with it. Good unit.
Nobody ever upvote me again. I have 600 upvotes and that is the PERFECT number. Don't hit that button. I know it's tempting given my high quality posts on RedFlagDeals.com, the best page on the Internet since 1998 - but please don't hit that button.

Central AC and electric are two different systems. The Honeywell, ecobee, nest, etc are not for electric baseboards.

You'll need this for baseboard electric:

Baseboard systems are different than the central air. It needs a separate system to run.

That one is the only one that is specific to electric baseboard heaters as far as my knowledge goes. Couple of my friends have a dual setup. Mysa for the baseboards and another smart thermostat like Nest for their central air.
