[HOT] Kobalt 16-in 10 Amp Electric Lawn Mower $160 (Reg $200)

Deal Link:
Price:
$159.84
Expiry:
May 20, 2018
Retailer:
Lowes
Reg $200, went in store where they have 15% off almost everything in store. Sticker priced at $179.10 (which I thought was already including the 15% off), but they took the 15% off at the counter which brought it down to $159.84 before tax. I believe 15% ends today, but because it's a long weekend it may be good on Monday as well. Very good reviews on the Lowe's website for such an inexpensive mower, I talked to a couple employees who said they were blown away by what this little thing can do and how high of grass it will cut with ease. I don't have much grass in my yard so didn't need anything too extravegant. Will report how it works later on today when I use it for the first time.

Perhaps I'm missing something but what's the purpose of the "electric" when it's a corded lawn mower?

Can you post your receipt? May try to find one in Calgary.

Should have worded my question better. I initially assumed that this lawn mower can run on battery without a cord by the "10 Amp Electric" description, but that's not the case.

For battery you wanna be looking for something like "40V" or "10AH" tags instead of just 10A (amps) as that specifies how much current the motor draws from your outlet.

Does any Lowe's store in Ontario have this price? Otherwise this isn't much of a deal

OP's deal is YMMV..

I was able to stack the $10 sign up email and 15% off to get a similar deal.

Always had gas mowers but this thing is well worth the price for a townhome/renter with a decent yard.

Lol @miscbrah1 if it's not available in Ontario it's somehow not a deal to anyone ... Centre of the universe.

Just a note that I bought the 21" Kobalt mower from Lowes last fall, towards the end of the mowing season. Price was $150, which was half off the $300 list and included free delivery. My recollection is that around mid-summer the price would drop now and then to around $175-$200. (My old Craftsman was still working but showing signs of impending retirement, so I had some leisure time to consider the purchase.)

Works really well. Also pretty darned heavy - I had to cut the box open in order to remove it.
