[Lowe's] Kobalt 7 1/4" 10 Amp Mitre Saw $99.00

I've been waiting for a good deal on a mitre saw for a while to just do baseboard/trim cuts.

Looks like this is a good deal and has decent reviews

add the $5 coupon for lowes and it bring it to under $100 including GST

good if you're looking for a smaller mitre saw!

Not just a mitre saw, but a SLIDING (compound) mitre saw. That's a big feature upgrade. (Although I can't speak to this particular saw either way)

I bought this the last time it went on sale. Great saw, as others have commented the cut laser isn't very bright and difficult to see on a sunny day.

Great compound saw, would buy again.

I got this 7 1/4" one a couple months ago, ($99-10 coupon from lowes newsletter). Included blade was great for cutting up some shelves; but I suggest this blade for baseboards -- https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B001CZEU0S/ref ... 00_TE_dp_1

This thing is light, has a small footprint for storage, and for under $100 well worth the trouble of flipping a board for the single bevel. Blades are significantly cheaper than 10 or 12" blades as well.

It showed up in the advertising banner when I was ordering online, just click on it and it entered a code at checkout

Absolutely, it will be great for the cross cuts but bear in mind that it will not be suitable for the lengthwise rip cuts or the more intricate cuts around door jambs etc.

Picked up this exact one last year and absolutely love it. Same comment about the laser not being very bright/accurate but the saw itself is great! Can't go wrong for a sliding compound mitre saw.

I have the 10" version with the laser line. Paid about 70$ more for that version a few years back.
Good saw for casual users. Make sure to adjust the cut depth and laser line as the factory settings are not calibrated correctly.

Oh, and don't expect the sawdust to go in the bag. Cutting outdoors or in a designated work room is a must.

Do they include instructions on how to make the adjustments or this one of those moments YouTube is my friend?

Thanks OP, I was waiting on this to come down to $99 again... I almost pulled the trigger on the Black & Decker Miter Saw that Lowe's had on clearance for $59 but at 7 1/4" size, I figured it was worth it to spend the extra $40 for the sliding function
