It does not look cheap.

I bought the chevron as well for a bigger project in the basement.
You deleted your pic?? :( Man I loved what you did (minus the under the bed lights lol). But don't listen to the naysayers. Do what you like!!

Finally got around to installing these panels I picked up on sale last month. I had to remove the old fiberglass insulation, install new rigid durofoam insulation panels and build a steel stud support wall.

Here are some pics of today progress from start to finish it took me about 4 hours to do myself.

Next project will be blacking out my ceiling with paint gun.

Looks nice. Finished mine as well in basement.

I'm curious to see how the paint gun will do the ceiling? Any pictures of how it would look like?

It will look like this

I would do a drop ceiling but I don't wanna lose any ceiling height. Painting it all black keeps things spacious, doesn't look as unfinished plus I still get easy access to things like wiring and plumbing.

Nice idea! I will do the same. How would you paint, do you have the link for the tools you will use?

I am not too sure as I am an IT/Programmer by trade and all my DIY home renovation projects have been all thanks to research on google and youtube :)

I was watching this video and it looks pretty easy except it sucks that my basement is full of stuff so once again will have to play musical chairs or tetris once again with my games.

This HVLP gun seems pretty reasonable at under $70usd it gets the job done. Another alternative is I can ask my wife and her 3 sisters to come over and we hand paint but there will probably be more paint on the floor than ceiling! I might look into hiring a pro if it is not too expensive.

From what I have seen people who do this paint over everything from electrical, plumbing and gas lines.
