LOWES - Thats a (house ) wrap

Retailer:
Lowes (now gone!)
It all went through yesterday, so Lowes US have left the building, so while I see no deals yet, now its official we may begin to see some more clearance prices or store closures/re orgs...

https://corporate.lowes.com/newsroom/pr ... s-02-03-23

They paid 3.2bn$ to enter the market, 400$m is what they got when they left, staggering.

Don't hold your breath for deals, Rona operates them in Canada and plan to keep all stores operating after converting their names.

Only likely deals are items branded with Lowe’s name on them.

That **** sucks.

Rona employees typically suck compared to home depot and lowes. Home Depot is undoubtedly the king but I still liked shopping at Lowes.

I hope they close the Rona at Warden and Eglinton and turn the Lowes next to it into Rona.

Everything about Lowe's customer service was terrible.

I very much agree with you, however, strangely enough during this past month with all of the clearance deals I have found the staff (customer service/managers) to be extremely helpful and way more pleasant than in the past. I think the staff was excited for the change and happy to see people get wicked deals

LOL. More competition in the retail sector is a bad thing I guess? Too bad, we had a good trifecta between HD/Rona/Lowes for the regular DIY Joe.

The one Lowes I’ve been to here in Vancouver is a ghost shell of Home Depot. I will miss them as an option for price matching.

Never liked lowes.. well only years ago when they stopped selling klein tools and had them on clearance. Lol
Newmarket store is a joke especially the store manager and few managers in charge when this store manager aint around.
Other then klein tools on clearance never had a positive experience. They need to go... always seems empty too..
Few times I've gone for pvc fittings online says lots in stock...when you get there things are in wrong places and in the wrong spot....said 16 in stock but nope.
The negative reviews are correct on Google at this store.
Also have a family member "employed" at lowes newmarket. Also not a positive thing to say.

Lol totally - what's funny is that they used to be poor and then they decided to take a gigantic leap backwards and operate under Rona's be absolutely piss poor model instead of making Rona operate like Lowe's.

Absolutely mindblowing how it could be so badly mismanaged.

Agree Lowe's sucked but Rona is even worse.
