Got this tree in early November for $199 + $50 Lowe's gift card.

Set it up last week and it's a very nice looking tree. It has different textured needles and branches as well as the pine cones for a very realistic look.

The quick set feature is nice so you don't have to worry about plugging in different sections of the tree in order to get the lights to work.

It's very full and wide and once ornaments are on you cannot see the main stem in the middle.

It's definitely worth the $214 price tag for sure!

Is there any reason that so many of the available Christmas trees use incandescent bulbs still vs. LED?

Oh man I missed that deal I've been watching this tree for a while. Was that an in-store special?

Old stock. But seriously I only use ours when we are in the room. The lights are dimmed to about 50%. It's minimal usage.

The deal was in their flyer during the last week of October I believe. We ordered online and picked up in store and got the e-gift card emailed for use online only. If you picked it up in the store you would've got a physical card to use in store only.

I don't know about Lowes, but Rona should give you a 10 day or so window to honor the difference in price if their price goes lower. Bring in your receipt and they do a full refund then sell at the new lower price. You don't have to bring the tree back (thank goodness lol). As long as it doesn't go to a clearance price, then they won't honor paying you the difference.

stupid question: what type of dimmer works for this sort of function?
Second rule of RFD ... don't talk about stocktrack.ca with non-members of RFD
Third rule of RFD ... see first rule. if you don`t know first rule, someone`s following the rules ;)

In this case one that can handle up to 5A. An old style manual slider or rotary knob type works great. I have that plugged into a smart appliance switch.

The 900 lights on full blast should draw just over 3A (360 Watts).

/edited: sorry - typo'd an extra '0' in the Wattage lol - corrected.

I bought, doubt it will get cheaper as we get closer to Christmas, at least until after. Can always return if we dont like it and get a discounted one early next year !
