Are these things really 2-3x better thsn the more mainstream brands? Always wanted to try an Ego but just can't bring myself to spend that much more...

I have the snowblower and leaf blower, I really like them. Surprisingly the leaf blower is a great way to get snow off your steps and cars

The snow blower is the right balance of power and portability for my 4 car driveway and I can fit it in my single car garage and slide it out past my car

I had an old snow Joe style snow blower but this a major step up as the snow Joe is wired and limited to 15A

Do you have the snowblower with the rubber paddles or the metal auger? Wondering which is better, plan on getting one. I have the ego lawn mower and it’s been great this year

They had a free battery promo a few years ago but have not seen that recently. Got my stuff through a combination through those type of promos + Kijiji. There are sometimes items on clearance at the end of the season. I also got a battery cheaper than outright cost by buying the kit and selling the tool on its own.

I wasn't particularly set on this brand, but wanted a cordless when I bought it back then and I also wanted one that could stand upright in my tiny garage, and at the time, I didn't find very many that met that criteria.

After 6 years or so of ownership I can definitely say that the batteries are solid, power is good (mower + trimmer, though certainly not as good as gas) and I have not particularly looked after the batteries other than keeping them in the house during winter (have paid almost no attention to state of charge).

if HD still carries EGO, my 650 would have been upgraded to 765 by now. I remember my 650 kit was 250 ish when it was on clearance.

Bought an Ego SNT2112 snow blower for my 3-car wide driveway. It was $1,100 which is double/triple a typical gas snow blower is.

BUT I bought it for ease of use (light weight) and it’s low maintenance while still having enough power to do my entire driveway.

The machine works great. Very little maintenance unlike my gas lawn mower. Folds away neatly and into the shed over summer. There’s some chipping and rusting of the metal auger but minor and cosmetic.

I look forward to switching over to more Ego products as the rest of my machines age and die out.

I have the one with rubber and upgraded the auger to metal. Didnt see much of a difference to be honest.
They have a new auger now, rubber and metal combined, it throws snow further(45ft) and also self propelled, here

I used the current promo to get a 2 stage. These almost never go on sale and they offer 200$ off the SNT2405 until October 15th

Does 10% off count as a sale on RFD?

2 stage might be overkill for my driveway but the promo is tempting. Shows out of stock though. I’m waiting to see if they bring back the free leaf blower promo with purchase of the rubber auger snowblower

I have a 2 car driveway and still took it, especially because the price. Might be an overkill but it helps my end of driveway anxiety lol

They have many authorized dealers across Canada

Find a local one and give them a call. They all should start receiving it now.

I just saw a couple weeks ago on my YouTube feed the new auger-self propelled ego snowblower. Been looking into ego snowblowers so yay algorithm.

It's $100 more on igo than it is on Lowe's/Rona. I think with the RBC cash back promo I should probably pull the trigger but still wondering if I can get any kind of sale. Would be nice but not counting on it considering it's a new unit.

But that $1799 is regular price at lowes?

If 10$ off AirPods can be a top thread then I guess so! Honestly, any discount on the top electrical tools brand is worth sharing.
