[Lowe's] Scott's Naturescapes mulch $3.49 56.6L Apr 25-May1

First good deal on Scott's Naturescapes Mulch of the season. $3.49 56.6L Starting Thursday, April 25th.

This is my go to mulch for many years in Deep Forest Brown. Great quality and holds colour really well.

Lowes Friends and Family event April 25-28, get 10% off when you spend $100. Now to see if 29 bags fit into a Subaru Forester.

Would this be good for a pathway? Im looking to put mulch in our garden that nothing will be planted.

Yes, but lay it at least 4 inches thick so that no weeds can grow.

Go price match it at HD or Rona or other places that price match for an even lower price. My gardens love this stuff.

Reviews on home depot indicate the colour will fade after only one rainfall.

This holds up nicely to foot traffic. I put it between my house and neighbour's because grass won't grow. Either lay it on thick as mentioned earlier, or use landscape fabric underneath for weed prevention.

Home Depot already has the same size mulch bag at $3.33. It is the Vigoro brand. Is Scotts in any way better?

$3.49 after PM is $3.15 a bag, so it doesn't matter if its better, it's definitely cheaper :)

Last year the cheapest I've seen Vigoro was 4 bags for $10. *keep my fingers crossed*

But this is a good price for Scott's, especially if you PM at HD

this was already on sale at CT and HD this week or last for the same price IIRC. I bought 3 bags from CT.

It's definitely not the case with these. I laid about 100 bags of this stuff last year, it looked great all summer. I bought another 20 bags last week and have been laid it down before the recent rains and it still looks as good as when I took it out of the bag.

The ink is really strong on these. Make sure to wash anything that comes into contact with it quickly.

No need to bag it... wood mulch (as opposed to rubber) will break down over time, adding beneficial organic matter to the soil

this stuff is not natural by any means.. if needed then go to the natural cedar mulch.

I don’t worry about it because it decompose and blend into surrounding grass, add more on top every year. But I swear I have used black and it’s still black after 1 year.
