Is this bulb work with Hue?
Rule No.1 here: Buy first, Think afterwards.

It's not a Smart Light. It's a bulb with a back-up battery in case the power goes out.

Our Lowes has a whole bunch of them in Lethbridge. Most of the Sengled stuff has been cleared out. I managed to get the Sengled kit with the hub and two coloured bulbs for $10 and I also picked up the Sengled Boost bulb (builtin 2.4ghz wifi repeater) for $6.

If anyone wants to test this out. But it in a lamp and let it charge for a while. Unplug the lamp and short the plug. Basically use some metal to connect the 2 prongs on the plug. The battery on these from the ones I bought are from 2016.

Opened one (which was quite easy, just need to remove a small screw and the cover slides off). There is a rectangular LiPo pack inside, labelled "063450" 6.66Whr 7.4V (was hoping for 18650, no such luck :-) It is still a nice 3000Kelvin 40W equivalent (9W) LED bulb with an emergency backup feature. Better than the one Canada Computers had on sale for 5.88...
