If you're like me, you've bought several of those cheap jobmate or PA hole saw kits only to have your saw fuse with the mandrel/arbor after the first use. This set seems to avoid that based on reviews, and is a sweet spot for price/sizes (at least it is for my needs). The Diablo kit from HD on BF for $100 was overkill for my needs, many useless sizes.

Warmish with the -$30 then -$10 for email signup.

the rapid core eject system is actually very useful.

if you are in the market for a set, this is a buy imo

I've already gone through 3 cheap sets with minimal use. You gotta spend a bit for some things...

I have never heard of Spyder outside of Lowes, is it a store brand like Kobalt or more of a niche product you don't see elsewhere?

Not sure. But based on these reviews I felt totally fine going for for one of these sets. They are sold on Amazon as well.
