Assume this isn't the pro hub as I think its not available in Canada. Was looking in spring as I wanted Pro hub as it can communicate with Hubitat.

I thought you didn’t need a Lutron hub if you have hubitat. Maybe only with the latest Elevation Hubitat?

New to this stuff. What's the point of the hub if you have Google home or the smart things hub?

Lutron uses their own proprietary protocol, right? So you would need the hub to interface with something more standard.

Top-of-the-line gear, but pretty expensive. From primecables.ca: zigbee hub + dimmer switch + scene controller $34.50 - minus any semblance of support or documentation of course. That's not important to you is it? Half the fun is hours of frustration trying to get it to work! :)

Can a smart home genius answer something for me; Electric Light BulbBlack Question Mark Ornament
I have a bunch of the Globe smart lights working through Google Assistant but I want a way to "turn off" the bulbs at the switch without actually cutting power so I can "turn on" the bulbs with voice or the app without needing to go to the switch again. Do these dimmers allow that or is there any switch that just sends the turn off command instantly without needing to cut off power to the bulb?
thank you thank you

Everything needs a hub nowadays. My house of full of hubs! However you can integrate pretty much everything into Google Home or ST, which helps.

Yes. You can use ask siri/google/alexa to turn on/off lights (or turn on to 60%) with these dimmer/hub.
I have 4 pairs of Lutron Caseta dimmer switches/remotes and the hub, for 3 years now. Work perfectly. I use existing light fixture and regular Philips dimmable LEDs (not smart or hue) with Caseta.
My favourite thing is these allow me to add 2 way/3 way switch without adding electric wires.

Cheaper at Lowe’s at $99.95, price match and beat at Home Depot for an additional 10% off.

So thanks OP just purchased one for an upcoming job.
No, it is NOT the PRO HUB (L-BDGPRO2-WH). I have bought this kit some months ago. The HUB included in the kit is the L-BDG2-WH. Since last month, you can add up to 75 Lutron Caseta devices in the hub instead of 50.

You're right. I think it has to have PRO in the part number. I looked it up a few days ago and I think I might have been mistaken by another website stating the pro version was included. My bad.

Yes but, If I turn the lights off at the switch with the button, and then say "turn the lights on green 80%" will it know im talking to the smart bulbs themselves or do I need to say "turn the lights on" (for Lutron) and then say "set lights to green 80%" (for globe)? the confusion is there are 2 separate smart technologies working at the same time.

You'll have to create scene's in that particular app.

Most dimmable bulbs can't be used with dimmer physical switches, so the places in your house that have dimmable bulbs, just replace the switch with an on & off switch wireless switch (https://www.amazon.ca/Lutron-Caseta-Wir ... way&sr=8-6).

For the other places in your house where you'd like to dim the lights, but the bulbs themselves are normal bulbs (dining room chandalier) use the dimmer switches in those places (https://www.amazon.ca/Lutron-Wireless-L ... way&sr=8-7).

Lowe's has $10 off if you sign up to their newsletter, last time it worked for Lutron products.
