Lynx Air is Canada's newest "ultra-affordable" airline, and they officially launched flights on April 7th, 2022, with a fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 8s!

See what the Lynx Air experience was like on board their inaugural flight from Calgary to Vancouver!

Here's a recent review I read about Lynx Air's voyage from YYC to YVR:
I Flew With Canada's New 'Ultra-Affordable' Lynx Air & It's Like The Dollarama Of Airlines

All-in-all, it sounds like they are very bare bones and all you get is a glass of water. Everything is fee-based, pay-per-use, paid option. You can't even buy a sandwich on board.

The domestic flight landscape has been a bloodbath previously that left many casualties along the way suddenly closing shop, stranding passengers unexpectedly -- and the battle is starting to heat up again. We can certainly use more competition and not having to choose from a bad bunch. Westjet used to be so good, but they've really slipped and gotten too big to fail/care.

It will be some interesting times ahead.

Personally, I'd take a wait and see for now to see how the new entrants do before committing to longer duration travel or only using them on very casual short haul flights for a few day's stay. Kind of like a taxi service, heaven forbid should they suddenly go belly up.Confused Face Let's hope there is enough pent-up demand to go all around...
Why settle for full retail price when you can wait and get it at a lower price for better value (even better if there's a bundled freebies deal)? 😉
