m3u player for xbone or ps4

Without uttering the keyword that seems to get threads deleted is there an *easy* so to speak way to view M3U playlists (and EPG info etc) on a XBONE or PS4? I googled a plex plugin but have mostly read negative results. Wondering if there's an app that I'm missing here. This would be an m3u list with authentication strings and I'm not opposed to transcoding/running something on a server.
