Mac air power adapter no light

I have a 2011 mac air. Its hard drive went bad after a few years' light use.

Then today I went to repair shop and have the SSD replaced. The shop installed the OS and everything is OK.

However after a few hours the Mac air failed to boot any more. the power adapter has no light. I cannot turn it on.

My question is - is it 100% the power adapter problem? If it is a regular power adapter I can do some testing, but this is a Mac. I am afraid that it is still not working after I bought a replacement adapter. I do not have screwdriver to open the notebook.

Buy a replacement off amazon and test.

Can easily be returned either way.

The Air should turn on without the power adapter attached if the battery has sufficient power. If the battery in the Air is really low, pressing the power button usually brings up the low-battery icon.

If both the replacement & old adapter are not working, then that sounds like a Mac issue. The light on the adapter only lights up when instructed by the Mac's charging circuit
