MacBook m1 4k60hz hdr10 output?

Does anyone know how I can get 4k60hz hdr10 output on my projector?
I have a usb-c to hdmi adapter. It can do 4k30hz.
I heard you need usb-c to DisplayPort to do 4k60hz.
Does anyone know if usb-c DisplayPort (or mini) then DisplayPort to hdmi will do the 4k60hz hdr10? My receiver does not have DisplayPort input so I need it to be converted to hdmi eventually.

Sounds like your adapter is HDMI 1.4. 4K 60Hz requires at least HDMI 2.0 and with HDR would require at least HDMI 2.0b.
