Mailing package to India

I need to mail a study permit and a box of over-the-counter meds (weighs 136grams) from Toronto to Hyderabad in India. It needs to have tracking and signature upon delivery in the next 2-3 weeks.

What’s the best way to ship it? I ran a scenario on FedEx and it’s $196!

2 weeks is going to require air freight, no one is going to be cheap.

Canada post express post might be the cheapest of the lot. However your package can get stuck at customs in India due to medicines being present. If it is just OTC meds, why can't they buy it in India. Most of the OTC generics are anyway produced in India and should be easily available here.
If it is just documents you post and leave out the meds, then it should get delivered within a week. DHL and Fedex are even faster and usually deliver in 3-4 days, but they will cost a lot more.

I have used First Flight couriers in the past and the rates were very competitive.

That said recent experience of a friend trying to ship through them wasn't very pleasant - in the sense that they required too much personal information regarding the shipper and the receiver before accepting the package. YMMV. Check out the quote online and give it a try if you are comfortable sharing the information they request.

Good luck.

There place in Brampton and they charge half of what Canada’s post and Fred fedex charges.

Small shop.

I believe to send actual luggage is around $200.
