Don't think that koodo plan is even available anyways. I would prefer directly to my iPad over a hotspot.

Koodo plan is available but no sharing data.

The cheapest way to go is get the Koodo plan and a phablet like the Note 3, you get a big enough screen for movies and games and the phone data plan for normal web browsing etc.

Most people don't want to buy data capable tablets because they are so expensive.

You charge what the market is willing to pay.

Also MTS and Rogers have always had great networks here which has always forced Telus to compete more on price which has been the source of competitive pricing over the last 4-5 years, for example the $55 Koodo plan that gives 5GB of data and unlimited calling.

I have a Manitoba billing address, but non-Manitoba phone number. Probably a no-go?

time to call FIDO to see if they will match as I'm in Winnipeg...or just jump ship to Rogers and be done with it. I have 2 lines with FIDO and paying $30.XX each (2 x 39 plan with discounts).

but this is much much better with way more DATA for the same price as we will be using our own phones or my wife can sign for the 24months and finally get rid of her iPhone 4 and switch to Android.

400mb each line, vs 2500mb each line

Fairly sure it's $65 + another $50 for the extra line. So it's about double for you

If 400 mb is enough for you, stick with it.

I found that I use about 3-4 gb every month. I might actually jump to the 10gb tomorrow.

AHHHHH, well in that case, it's not cheaper at all. I missed that entirely.

I thought it was $65 for 2 lines, sharing that amount of plan.

I'll check into it, but you are likely right. It did sound too good to be true.

our 400mb is enough for each of us anyway.
