Probably. Looks like they can't sell the detached homes though.

and they will be guaranteed to be built with the cheapest materials possible and very shoddy construction techniques leading to home owner complaints and even more media coverage on their lack of customer service.

wash.

rinse.

repeat for the next Mattamy development.

If I pay someone for their spot in line, but then I do not close the deal with the builder, do you know if I can sue the person to get my money back?

Sure sue them and the builder for "undue pressure" that you had to at any cost book a house!

100% will sell out in 1 day yes.

Might only be left with a few unfavorable units on crappy lots that do not sell day 1.

Didn't they sell out a couple weeks ago? Did they find some more houses in a closet or something?

Another mix of townhouses -- and yes sold out as well over the weekend. People are buying.

I notice a tick in sales going on in the resale market too... could be regional but I certainly see it happening.

May I know why all the East Asian buyers disappear in the market? Can you share some insider information?

Is it due to foreign exchange restriction in Asia or our harsh measures deeply hurt the East asian community? I want east asians to be back, but I don't know what to do to bring them back.

If you are east asian, your idea and thought are greatly appreciated.

I don't see why you need to target a certain group. Is there a reason?

I don’t want to target them at all.

But everyone is telling me that they are the greatest buyers, for example the last week’s aurora post with street number 44.

And my observation in the past few years is that the East Asian population in Toronto is actually decreasing, which worries me a lot as all my money are in real estate.

How do you observe? What are you using for statistics? What are you basing your data off?

Chinese+Korean is only less than 12% of the total immigrants population. This percentage used to be 25% to 30%. This is a bad news for real-estate.
Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia didn't even made top 10.

Dsidhu appears to be making a distinction:

Are Chinese rich? ---> Not racist.
Where are the rich Chinese? ---> Racist.

All clear now?

Explains a lot. At least you admit it unlike some of the other RE pumpers.

Now how about you back off with the racist crap.
