Matte/dull streaks on new quartz

Got new quartz last week, just noticed these matte , dull streaks on the counter. Anyone know if it’s a manufacture defect or anything I can use to get them off?

I had the same thing. It was a bit of the glue used in manufacturing. A very light scrub with Vim took care of it.

Hey, thanks. I just tried Vim and it works wonders. Not as noticeable, probably gonna take a couple more tries

Any fresh install ... use hot cloth and wipe it down.

After it dries ... use VIM.

After VIM dries ... give it a coat of ceramic wax.

Then afterwards .... cleaning will be a breeze ... a quick wipe with a wet cloth would do it.

I believe our installers used a bit of acetone to clean it off very quickly.

Why didn't OP just ask the installer or company they got the quartz from?

Using anything MAY cause problem if you don't know what you're doing. Reason I say this is my brother long long time ago used something to clean my calculator screen and damaged it.
