[McDonalds] In-app coupons YMMV two can dine, meal deal and many more

McDonald’s has moved their coupons to in-app on your smartphone. We’re you looking to slim down in January?…No you don’t - says McDonald’s. All the ‘new year/new me’ nonsense gets thrown by the wayside with McDonald’s coupons. Meal deal $6.69. Two can dine combos $12.38. $3.29 for Big Mac or mcchicken. YMMV on coupons. [email protected]!!!

Most coupons seem to expire Jan 2nd fyi.

The same coupons will be back next week , coupons expire every week in the app.

They will have paper coupons in 2022 too, they have it in advance on the app.

Damn, it's 2 sandwiches for $7 in BC. I used to do fish burger and quarter pounder for $4.99.
If you buy vgro for a thousand years Vancouver homes will still be out of reach.

$2 Big Mac or McChick and another coupon for $1 large fries. In Toronto, expires in 1 week

Edit : I meant $1 large fries, not $2

I miss when 2 can dine was under $10. It's just not a good deal anymore. Rather get some whoppers with cheese for $1 each.

the offers were already pretty bad
the new points system is just horrible
(the points bonus offers are laughable… 100 points for big mac… that’s only 1/20th of a coffee)

and now McD coupons are getting bad too

McDs coupons/offers are bad (poor value)
They are eliminating the coffee cards - also bad.
App doesn't accept McDs gift cards? Ridiculous.

Lets see what else they get wrong in 2022.

$2?! I only got $3.29 and I used it already. I don't think the paper/pdf coupons have $2 BM do they?

What happens to the on-cup McCafé stickers?

There are no changes to the on-cup McCafé Rewards sticker program at this time. That said, we are currently testing removing the on-cup McCafé Rewards stickers in Manitoba and selected areas of Northwestern Ontario (Fort Frances, Kenora, Dryden). These areas were part of our test for the new MyMcDonald’s Rewards program. We’ll keep our guests informed about any other changes we make in the future.

I actually did a calculation of which reward is more worth it comparing point usage to their actual price value. It turns out that the higher tier rewards just get worse in value. Iced Coffee is the best value in reward system.

I just made the points equal to 2000 and got the ratio. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah but come summer time when the iced coffee is $1, which is when most people probably buy them...not so much. Also when you consider what these items actually cost McD's, it's also another story. The margins on stuff like drinks and fries are much higher than say burgers.

Haha yeah that's a good point. I wonder what happens when they have promotions like that. I really only get whatever coupons are bogo or $1 fries or something, and when the cone goes for $1 in summer, I wonder if the rewards will adjust. Probably not.

I'm just doing this because I wanted to see the dollar value. I would probably only redeem fries.

BC mailer coupons

Unlimited use I guess if you just punch in the code from mailer.

One coupon per transaction I believe.

I hope Ontario gets the price increase. McDonald’s is generally pretty busy when coupons come out. I’d rather pay a bit more and not have the place packed and wait longer. $7 for single or $13.58 for two like BC sounds great if not higher.
