Mcdonalds Dollar Ice coffee is not 1$?

So as you all know mcdonalds having the promo for iced cofffees for 1$, i noticed when i go to mcdonalds to get one, its not 1$ anymore, it used to be 1.05$ or something with all taxes, but now its $1.45 which does not equal to 1$ even with tax. Why are they advertising false prices on their promos?

I've been paying $1.05... are you adding flavor shots or getting a large size maybe?

Sometimes the kiosks are programmed with the wrong price...if you notice, ask the manager.

As far as I know, any small or medium size should be $1 plus tax

They charge for the flavouring now. Regular medium iced coffees are $1, changing that to vanilla charges $0.40 extra.

Vanilla is what's costing the $0.40 extra. Go for a regular iced coffee :)

maybe because
Vanilla now costs more than silver, thanks to recent cyclone

Soaring vanilla prices could mean price hikes at local bakeries and ice cream shops

Why the soaring cost of vanilla could put your favourite ice cream flavour off the menu

It is the same for KFCโ€™s Tuesday special. It was called the toonie day and costed $2 when it was first started. Now it is still called the same name, but it costs more than $3.

This is McDonalds. They don't use expensive ingredients when there r plenty of alternatives.

I mean, you can still get it... for the extra 40 cents. Still a good deal considering what an iced coffee is regularly, or the alternative at Tim's for $2.20 for a medium with no flavour shot.

They are most likely using *synthetic vanillin syrup anyway.

*Synthesized vanillin is identical to natural vanillin anyway...natural vanilla extract is simply more complex and has a mixture of flavor molecules.

They jumped on the bandwagon and charge extra for Vanilla but I'm sure are using artificial flavoring.
