When McDonald's can't contain the inflation, it's game over =(. There's a Big Mac Purchase Price Parity Index for a reason...

$8.50 for a Big Mac/Filet-o-Fish isn't worth it; just do the survey instead to get the coupon for buying a large sandwich with the fries and drink for free. Burger King's survey is a better value, since you pay for the fries and drink and get the Whopper/Original Chicken for free.

Why McDonald's is seeing more customers even as inflation pinches pockets
While inflation has impacted many Canadians and the businesses they shop at, McDonald's' recent third-quarter numbers show customers are still "lovin' it," with the numbers beating estimates showing despite higher prices, people kept coming back to eat. Global's Anne Gaviola speaks with The Peak Daily podcast's Brett Chang about why the fast-food giant appears to be in a sweet spot both in increasing prices, while also boosting customers.

I almost never go to mcdonalds anymore, not even for the free fries. My family barely goes to. The prices just suck and the food sucks.

Not just region specific but account-specific apparently. I'm suspecting the "discounts" vary based on the spending history which is a bad move on McD's.

I've compared their offers across a few accounts over the past couple of weeks. Offers on my main account are barely a discount and are worse than ones available for my other or family accounts.

Not a fan of McDonald's, but people are still going because they beat on Q3 numbers...

Only thing I have gotten in the past 12 months are free coffees.

Speaking of which: PSA to use your McCafe coffee stickers. Best value at McCafe locations that can do specialty drinks. I.e. Americano, Lattes, London Fogs. All included at size M.

So offers are consistent but two of the three offers differ in price. Title changed to reflect this.

I like McDonalds and would have considered myself to have been a regular in the past. I haven't gone in a long time now though. The value just isn't there for me, and the offers really haven't been enticing.

Not that it matters to them. They're doing just fine.

It warms my heart to see so many people calling out the shit deals McDonald's has been offering. They used to be the cheap place to go, but now their prices are more expensive than almost every other restaurant while the quality of food is the same if not worse than it always has been.

Went to Walmart to claim the filet of fish deal.

Manager said they have never sold filet of fish at the Walmart McDonald's and it has been causing all sorts of problems.

Offered any other menu item at the same price.

How times have changed. The title brought back memories for me (pre-covid) of the $5 for 20 nuggets at the McD's in Manhattan.

Definitely not a popular item. I waited 10 minutes for them to cook the fillet when I got it last week

You fail to miss third quarter profits are based on McDonald’s USA stock as well as the price significantly being lower/better deals …McDonald’s Canada is like 0.005% of those earnings

I drive regularly to Vermont and buy a box of 20 McNuggets for $9.80 canadian funds (once converted).
USA McDonalds have more offers like BOGO on breakfast sandwiches.
I simply prefer to wait till I drive to USA.
No longer buying from canadian branches.
Way to expensive.
