[MEC] MEC 50%+ Off on 1300+ Items

Boxing Day sale says Up to 50% off on 1300+ items. Something for everyone and free shipping on orders $50+. Depending on what you are looking for, I've seen stuff on sale for 61% and 64% off.

Heritage versions of the Leatherman Wave+, Super Tool, and Charge are on sale too; lower prices than what leatherman.ca had.

Caution. I drove the 30km out to Burlington for this BS store. No signs on the outside, nothing on price tags, nobody checking 'members' admittance, except for when you get to the counter and a membership is required. I'm supposed to pay them $5, for which they demand all my personal information " because we are a legal co op" as the cashier droned on.

In store boxing day sale items are quite scant BTW. With other 'clearance' prices way above what you would expect to pay at the other nationwide sports stores. If you've never been here, prepare to be underwhelmed.

MEC has always been a coop... it's in the name Mountain Equipment Co-op.

This has been MECs policy from day one. It is a co-op and you need to be a member.

One thing is for sure. The warranty is no longer what it use to be. Prices are sky high and the quality of their in-house products has gone off the deep end. I have stopped shopping at MEC. The boxing day sales is almost laughable. I cant believe I actually looked. Shame on me.

Lmao. It's literally in the name, [...]. MEC has always always worked this way, and they are legally a co-op.

Costco, Sams club. Both charge to buy in store.

MEC is $5 for a lifetime membership. And they never check your membership at the door, works for me.

Excellent response.

The website and store sign reads MEC. Like 99.99% of other stores you walk into, you'd expect to pay what's on the tag, + tax. Unreasonable? No.

Costco says Costco on the sign. Should you expect to just walk in an pay what it "cost"s at that "co"mpany?

Osprey makes some good stuff. Not entirely sure what a commuter pack is but they have packs of all kinds for all purposes.

This pack would be a great deal with the 15% off code: https://www.thelasthunt.com/products/os ... -talon1853

I got the 36L version for forestry work and it's great.
